* EVENT POSTPONED * We’re sorry to announce that this event has been postponed until further notice, in the interest of public health and based on guidance from Australian authorities. The Festival will NOT be held on Sunday 29 March 2020.
Held during Cultural Diversity Week, the Festival, now in its 12th year, brings Melbournians together to celebrate, share and embrace our community’s cultural diversity.
The Festival is a free, family-friendly event fostering community connection in a fabulous atmosphere with live music from China to Cuba, the Kensington Sustainable Living Expo, food from all corners of the globe and interactive community stalls.
There’s something for everyone, henna hand and children’s face-painting, kids inflatables, treasure hunts, animal farms, come and try workshops, African drumming and lots more.
This year the Kensington Neighbourhood House is again recruiting a team of volunteers to help out on the day to make this year’s festival bigger and better than ever.
If you love being part of the local community this is a great way to connect and play a role. Volunteer for a couple of hours or all day – it’s up to you!
