About the festival

The Kensington CommUNITY Festival is a much loved and anticipated community event, organised by Unison Housing (formally Urban Communities) that has been running for 10 years. The event is held at the JJ Holland Park precinct inclusive of the Bill Vanina Pavilion, Kensington Community Recreation Centre and the Kensington Adventure Playground (The Venny).

2017 will see the Kensington CommUNITY Festival partner with the AFL’s Unity Cup for the fourth time. The Unity Cup celebrates cultural diversity through sport and the Kensington CommUNITY Festival is a proud partner of such a well-loved event.

unison would like to thank all our major sponsors and local businesses for their ongoing support. Special thanks to the City of Melbourne, the Victorian Multicultural Commission and Cultural Diversity Week.

The 2017 Kensington CommUNITY Festival will be held on Sunday 2nd April.
